Paddy growth - protection from cold dew winds

Paddy growth - protection from cold dew winds

The "cold dew wind" is a recurrent low-temperature cold damage, easily causing delayed crop fertility, affecting fruiting and grouting, and reducing crop yields. The technical route of "keep the ground warm, promote early maturity, delay harvest", improve the microclimate in the field and enhance the crop's ability to withstand low temperatures.

1. Irrigation to regulate temperature. The first thing you need to do is to make sure that you have a good idea of what you are doing. If possible, use straw, leaves and weeds as fuel to create smoke to prevent frost and raise the temperature near the ground to promote early maturity. Spray foliar and water soluble fertilizers such as potassium dihydrogen phosphate and urea at the right time to replenish plant nutrients and enhance cold resistance. Cut off water at the right time for rice to prevent late maturity.

2. Harvest late as appropriate. Once low-temperature cold damage occurs, do not rush to harvest. You can postpone harvesting appropriately to extend the time for post-mature growth and promote the transfer of nutrients from rootstock storage to seeds to reduce the impact of cold damage.
