The relationship between organic fertilizers and chemical fertilizers is not competition, but cooper

The relationship between organic fertilizers and chemical fertilizers is not competition, but cooperation!

We should follow the principle of "organic fertiliser as the main fertiliser, chemical fertiliser as a supplement", and only "organic with inorganic" can we achieve long-term stability in agriculture.

Some people complain that organic fertilisers have a heavy odour and are intimidating; some complain that organic fertilisers are bulky and take time and effort to fertilise fields; others say that organic fertilisers have low nutrient content and are slow to produce high crop yields. In the eyes of some people, organic fertiliser seems to be useless

In fact, the most outstanding feature of organic fertiliser is that it can increase and supplement soil organic matter. The organic matter in the soil can significantly improve the physical and chemical properties of the soil, so that the soil agronomic properties become better, the ability to enhance water infiltration, improve soil water storage, fertilizer, fertilizer and drought and flooding resistance, yield increase is obvious, which can not be replaced by chemical fertilizers.

Soil

1. Improving the fertilising effect of the soil

95% of the trace elements in the soil cannot be directly absorbed and used by plants. Organic fertilisers contain a large number of organic acids, which quickly dissolve trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, sulphur, copper, zinc, iron, boron, molybdenum and other essential plant minerals, turning them into nutrients that can be directly absorbed and used by plants, greatly increasing the fertilising capacity of the soil.

2. Improve soil quality and promote soil microbial reproduction

Organic fertilisers can make the microorganisms in the soil multiply, especially many beneficial microorganisms. These beneficial microorganisms, which can decompose the organic matter in the soil, increase the agglomerate structure of the soil and improve the soil composition. Microorganisms multiply very quickly in the soil. The activities of microorganisms, which increase the permeability of the soil, also make the soil fluffy and soft, and nutrient water is not easily lost, increasing the soil's ability to store water and fertiliser and avoiding and eliminating soil caking.

Crops

1. Provide crops with the comprehensive nutrition they need and protect their roots and stems

The carbon dioxide released from the decomposition of organic fertiliser can be used as material for photosynthesis. Organic fertiliser also contains 5% nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and 45% organic matter, which can provide comprehensive nutrition for crops.

2. Enhance crops' resistance to disease, drought and flooding

Organic fertilizer contains vitamins, antibiotics, etc., which can enhance the resistance of crops and reduce or prevent the occurrence of diseases. When organic fertiliser is applied to the soil, it can enhance the soil's ability to store and retain water and, in the event of drought, can enhance the crop's drought resistance.

At the same time, organic fertiliser can also make the soil loose, improve the ecological environment of crop roots, promote root growth, enhance root vitality, improve crop flood tolerance, reduce plant mortality and improve the survival rate of agricultural products.

3. Improve crop yield

The beneficial microorganisms in organic fertilizers use the organic matter in the soil to produce secondary metabolites, which contain a large number of growth-promoting substances. For example, growth hormone can promote plant elongation and growth, abscisic acid can promote fruit ripening, gibberellin can promote flowering and fruiting, increase the number of flowers and fruit retention rate, improve yield, make the fruit full, fresh colour and lustre, also can be marketed earlier, to achieve increased yield and income.

4. Improve the safety and greenness of food

The state has long specified: agricultural production process must limit the excessive use of inorganic fertilizers, organic fertilizers are the main source of fertilizer for the production of green food. As a result of organic fertilizers in a variety of nutrient elements more complete, and these substances are completely non-toxic, harmless, non-polluting natural substances, which provides the necessary conditions for the production of high-yielding, high-quality, non-polluting green food.

Since organic fertilizer has so many advantages, does it mean that chemical fertilizer is not needed? The answer is no!

Chemical fertilisers are fast-acting and are still very important for sustainable and stable agricultural production. We have to follow the "organic fertilizer as the main, chemical fertilizer as a supplement" principle of fertilization, only "organic with inorganic", in order to achieve long-term stability of agriculture.

According to the survey, the actual utilization rate of chemical fertilizers is only 30% to 45%. When the organic fertiliser is applied, the beneficial biological activities improve the soil structure and increase the soil's ability to retain water and fertiliser, thus reducing the loss of nutrients and increasing the effective utilisation rate of fertiliser to over 50%.
