Ten scientific fertilization methods for fruit trees1-5

1. Ring ditch fertilization method. Dig a 30-40 cm wide and 15-45 cm deep annular ditch outside the canopy, and then mix the topsoil with the base fertilizer and apply it. This method is suitable for young orchards.

2. Radial fertilization method. Dig 6-8 radial ditches 1 meter away from the trunk, 30-60 cm wide, 15-45 cm deep, and as long as the outer edge of the trunk. Apply fertilizer into the ditch and cover with soil. This method is suitable for mature orchards.

3. Strip furrow fertilization method. Dig 1-2 long strip ditches with a width of 50 cm and a depth of 40-50 cm between the rows or plants of fruit trees, and then fertilize and cover the soil. This method is suitable for mature orchards.

4. Acupoint casting. Dig 10 to 20 conical holes with a depth of 40 to 50 cm, an upper mouth of 30 cm, and a bottom of 10 cm under a tree with a diameter of 1 meter. Fill the hole with dead branches and rotten leaves, cover the mouth with plastic cloth, topdress and water in the hole. This method is suitable for sandy orchards with poor water and fertility.

5. Soil drilling and fertilization. Use a drill to drill holes under the canopy, pour the diluted fertilizer into the holes, and let the fertilizer and water slowly penetrate. This method is suitable for orchards in densely planted areas and mature orchards in arid areas.
